I nominated Alex
Alex started playing the pipes when he was
10 years old. He won champion supreme in grade 5, and skipped grade 4 after playing
in one contest (the BCPA Indoor). When he was in grade 3 he lived in Ontario with
his grandparents and competed in the PPBSO for a year. For grade 2 he went back to
Atlantic Canada PBA and won champion supreme there as well. Last year was his
first year in grade one, at the age of 14. He only won one event all year, and it
was the march at Maxville. This season he did really well, winning the amateur piper
of the day at the Hamilton games, Halifax Highland Games, and the Antigonish Highland
Games, plus he won the grade one aggregate at the BCPA Annual Gathering.
In his spare time, Alex likes to play the guitar and other than
hanging out with his friends and all the "normal stuff," and he doesn't really
have spare time once school starts.
