Featured Teen - archive / current featured teen April 2004 - Shane Smith

Age: 15 Shane started piping when he was nine years old. His first teacher was Craig Wood, but he soon began taking lessons from SFUPB members Dani Brin and Adam Quinn. He started taking lessons from Jori Chisholm about five years ago, and has progressed quickly from there. Shane had a successful summer of 2003, winning the BC Piper's Grade Two Grand Aggregate. He was moved up to grade one in the fall of 2003, and has been very successful for his first year. Besides piping, Shane also enjoys playing soccer. |
